Az-Zukhruf 43:8

فَأَهْلَكْنَآ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًا وَمَضَىٰ مَثَلُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
And We destroyed greater than them 1 in [striking] power, and the example of the former peoples has preceded.
